Wine Cake
Aunt Annabelle Tyler Lincoln

Aunt Annabelle was a sweetheart.  We lover her so much and we love this recipe from her that was in my mom's recipe file.
 Every time I see this recipe or have eggs over easy I think of her and wonderful memories come flooding back.



4 eggs

1 pkg. Yellow cake mix

1 pkg. Vanilla instant pudding

¾ cup veg. Oil

¾ cup dry sherry

1 tsp. nutmeg and

powdered sugar for the icing



1 cup of powdered sugar

2 tsp. unsalted butter

(room temp)

Stir together and add enough lemon juice to make it thin to drizzle



Combine all and beat 5 minutes. Bake in a greased bundt

pan @ 350º for 45 minutes.

Let stand 20 minutes to cool.

Turn out and sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with the icing.

This is the basic recipe from Aunt Annabelle Lincoln and I believe it is from her Mother or Grandma Tyler. (President Tyler’s family.) Although I guess Aunt Annabelle  changed it by taking out ingredients that would make up a yellow cake and vanilla pudding and just used the packaged mixes. Obviously, they didn’t have cake mix or instant pudding back in her grandmother's time.
